Samiran Roy

Samiran Roy is a Data Science Lead at CRED, working on the verticals of personalisation, customer acquisition, and retention. He was previously a Co-Founder at a startup where he developed AI systems on unstructured document understanding, and a Senior Lead Data Scientist at Envestnet Yodlee, where he worked on Deep Learning applications for fintech use-cases. During his master’s at IIT Bombay, he worked on developing deep learning, reinforcement learning, and computer vision software. He also worked on AI agents for self-driving cars, robot soccer, Atari games, and Carrom. His MTech thesis was focused on reinforcement learning, where he worked on a Bandit framework for autonomous agents to supervise their own training.
