About Shashank Rao

Shashank is a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Atlassian with over 11 years of experience spanning applied and research ML. His work focuses on building large-scale agentic and recommendation systems. Previously, he worked at Spotify on multimedia recommender systems research and at startups across healthcare, NLP/NLU, speech, and personalization. He has filed 10+ patents, and published peer-reviewed research in the field of AI. Outside work, he’s a devoted FC Barcelona fan who enjoys cricket, football, alt-rock, country music, and FIFA.

  Agentic Request Delegation and Resolution
  Enterprise support delegation and resolution is complex: heterogeneous workflows, partial observability, high-risk actions, and strict policy constraints. We present an agentic Supervisor + Specialists architecture that maintains a shared ticket state, generates hierarchical plans via plan graphs, replans using validation signals, and orchestrates multiple skills, with pre/postcondition checks as verifiers via a custom agent harness.
