Sayak works on the open-source team at Hugging Face. He is one of the maintainers of the diffusers library, where he helps maintain it and trains and babysits diffusion models. He has a flair for open-source initiatives. In particular, Sayak has contributed to Keras, KerasCV, Transformers, TensorFlow Addons, etc.
The Intel Software Innovator Program recognized Sayak as one of their top innovators for his community contributions and innovative projects in 2019. For his open-source contributions, Sayak received the Google Open Source Peer Bonus Award in 2020, 2021, and 2022 and the TensorFlow Top Contributor Award in 2021.
