Ravi Shankar is currently associated with Credit Saison India, where he leads advanced AI and analytics initiatives focused on building scalable, production-grade AI systems for financial services.
Prior to this, at Piramal Finance, he served as Associate Director – AI, heading a 15+ member AI/ML team across AI Products and Cross-Sell verticals. He architected and deployed multiple agentic AI systems powered by reinforcement learning with feedback (RLF), fine-tuned LLMs, and long- and short-term memory frameworks for use cases including credit underwriting, fraud control, document intelligence, and voice-based collections.
He designed a self-learning Agentic Document Intelligence platform covering 50+ document types across seven systems, reducing credit FTNR and turnaround time by 50%. He also built an in-house Bank Statement Analyzer covering 90% of banking formats, delivering superior income detection accuracy and generating annual savings exceeding ₹50 crore. His contributions include productionized document tampering detection models, CKYC and KYC verification APIs, Aadhaar masking models, OCR-based underwriting stacks, and high-impact cross-sell engines contributing nearly 30% of branch-led business.
Earlier in his career, he worked with Javis, delivering ML-driven demand planning and supply chain optimization solutions for FMCG leaders, and began his data science journey at HDFC Bank, applying AI to next-best-action and transaction intelligence use cases.
