Mallikharjuna did his Maters of Statistics from Indian Statistical Institute (Kolkata). He
has 8+ years of experience in building analytics solutions in CPG, Insurance and Retail
domains. He is currently working as Associate Data Scientist at Walmart Labs –
Bangalore.
At Walmart Labs, he has extensively worked on scalable machine learning algorithms
for items categorization. Prior to Walmart, he worked at AIG, ANTUIT and WNS. Some
of his key works are automating underwriting process, reserve estimation, mortality
predictions and dynamic market mix models. He has 2 patents granded on his work on
text processing and item categorization.
At Walmart Labs, he has received quarterly award for his work on forecasting systems
and fixing bugs in R forecast packages. At AIG, received annual award for two
consecutive years for his work on automating underwriting process and reserve
estimation.
