Dr. Debasish Banerjee is a PhD in Strategy from the Indus Institute of Investment
Banking, Strategy and Research. His dissertation in the doctoral program –
“Strategic decision models on a stochastic plane for scripting effective turnaround
solutions” is founded on a range of case studies drawn in from multiple domains in
the realm of manufacturing domain.
He is an alumnus of the University of Calcutta with a Bachelor’s in Textile
Engineering from the class of 1990 and went on to have his Chartered Associate of
The Textile Institute, Manchester UK and eventually acquired the honors o becoming
the Fellow of The Textile Institute, Manchester, UK. He also acquired a PG
Certification in Business Analytics from IM Calcutta.
Professionally, Debasish has been in the forefront of cutting edge research in the
textile engineering domain with several designs presented at major international
conferences the world over in tier-1 forums. Several designs have been
commercialized in the textile engineering industry.
Fundamental thought initiatives of Debasish in the manufacturing industry between
the years 2000 and 2014 have brought in major organic transformations of several
textile businesses in Indonesia, India and Kenya. Forays in management consulting
from 2015 onwards till date have brought value across domains like FMCG, food,
paper, packaging and printing, polymers for blow and injection molding, leather,
paints, fabrication and core engineering as well as energy engineering.
ML and AI research notes and primary field work in the domains of FMCG, polymers,
paper and packaging industry brought in major decision models for productivity
engineering, financials turnaround and product positioning for brand equity with
higher degrees of model validation.
Research interests in medical applications for predicting and pre-empting healing
protocols on Bayesian belief networks have resulted in the creation of new pathways
for collaborative initiatives to home in on in the quest for breakthroughs.
