Mithun Das Gupta

Mithun Das Gupta, is a Principal Applied Science Manager at Microsoft India, Hyderabad. He leads all computer vision initiatives at Microsoft IDC Hyderabad. He holds a PhD and MS in ECE from University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign and a Btech degree from IIT Kharagpur. His expertise are in the fields of computer vision and machine learning. He has worked extensively in the fields of medical image analysis, projector and printer image enhancements, text and NLP for unstructured domains, ml models for agriculture, retail etc. He holds 30+ patents and has published 25+ papers in different venues such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, MICCAI. He has mentored numerous interns and colleagues in his industrial career and actively collaborates with academic institutes to further his research interests.
